Comparative Adjectives

Adjectives: are words that describe a person, place or thing:

Forming regular comparatives

How these forms are created depends on

how many syllables there are in the

"singing" contains two -- sing and ing. Here are the rules:
*For Adjectiveswith one syllable we add -er.

slim slimmer

hot hotter
*For Adjectives with two syllables and end in "y", remove the "y" and add -ier

trendy trendier

silly sillier
*If an adjective has two or more syllables, don't change the word, but add "more" before the word.
